Biography

Professor Vincent Kanyamuna is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Development Studies at the University of Zambia. He serves as a member of the UNZA Senate, contributing to governance and direction. He holds four degrees in Development Studies, including a PhD specialising in Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of South Africa and an Advanced MSc from the University of Antwerp. His expertise includes results-based management, monitoring and evaluation, development research, strategic planning, performance measurement and capacity strengthening. His career spans academia, government, international development and consultancy, including service in Zambia’s national planning and finance ministries, World Vision and CARE International. He has led evaluations and developed M&E frameworks for government, Parliament, civil society and international development agencies. A prolific researcher and evaluator, he has published widely on monitoring and evaluation systems, development planning, governance and public-sector performance. His work connects scholarship with practical solutions for effective, accountable and evidence-informed development in Zambia and beyond.
